The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) document is required under federal transportation legislation. This publication lists all federally funded transportation and transportation-related projects to be undertaken within the transportation study area by implementing agencies over the next five years. Metroplan develops the Central Arkansas Regional Transportation Study (CARTS) TIP, in cooperation with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) and Central Arkansas Transit Authority (CATA).
